I guess it was time. I had forgotten my password to my old blog, so it seemed the time was ripe for a new one. I did a quick search, “best blog platforms” and quickly came upon an article for year 2021. I skimmed through the offerings and landed on Medium. Turns out I’ve been here before, roughly 5 years ago! But I fell out of love with blogging roughly 5 years ago too, so I guess Medium didn’t have much of a chance to make an impression on me.

First, I want to apologize for how boring this post is, as I really did mean to start writing about something else, but this meandering is what came out. Second, I realize it’s somewhat silly to apologize when I could just delete this altogether, but I am compelled to apologize. It’s a habit of mine, I guess, and I do hope you tolerate it, because it will keep happening. I will just have to make a new post for my actual story. But I needed an introduction. I like introductions. I remember back when I had to write essays for school. Sometimes, I would end up with very lengthy introductory paragraphs. And the hardest part was the conclusion. Often in the end, I had nothing really conclusive to say. My favorite go-to conclusions were often to just indicate that more research was needed. It was safe, but sincere too.

This verse will serve as a conclusion here, and a springboard for my second post.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding…”
